Long listed for the Wainwright Prize 2026

Delighted to be long listed for the Wainwright Prize. A real honour to be amongst such wonderful titles and being so passionate about Natural History this is so special.

Thank you Wainwright for including I am Big I am Small.

It's aimed at 4 - 6 year olds, so a little younger than some of the other titles - RIGHT when they start reading for pleasure AND discovering the natural world. I hoped to WOW them with things you find and connect with in nature, be it stripy, hairy, grumpy, fast, slow, endangered or just plain awesome.
It's such a pleasure to see first hand VERY young minds delight in discovering the natural world, be in scary, funny, beautiful and why it REALLY IS all worth saving.
